TBN: THE CROUCHES: TITHING

This e-mail received 9-26-06 says it all and can be multiplied by the thousands and probably by millions.

Dear Russell (Russell Earl Kelly:Should the Church Teach Tithing?)

My parents are senior citizens and they watch TBN all day, every day. Ministers on TBN constantly beg for money. Paul & Jan Crouch are some of the biggest defenders of tithing, as well as Benny Hinn and many other “celebrity” Christians on that program.

My parents have sent thousands to that network because they believe that God will bless them financially in return. My parents are very poor and every penny counts. I have tried many times to tell them the truth about tithing, but the false doctrine of tithing has been so ingrained in them for so many years that they won’t listen to me. TBN and Paul and Jan Crouch get richer and spend more and more on their elaborate T.V. sets while people like my parents are sending them every last cent that they have.

My father is 80 years old and he is very ill. My parents have very little in savings and we don’t know what we are going to do to get the care that he needs. I’m afraid that my mom will take more money out of their bank account to give to TBN, thinking that God will bless her with money in return to help with my dad’s care. TBN is robbing the elderly and it makes me sick. This needs to be stopped!

Please send a rebuttal to Paul and Jan Crouch and Benny Hinn of TBN, as well as any others that beg for money on that program.
